Year 3 had an amazing trip to the Clip ‘n’ Climb facility at Sutcliffe Park on Wednesday. After a good journey on two buses to get there, they were all put into harnesses and shown a safety video before climbing. There were lots of different types of climbing walls to try – even Mr Spalding couldn’t resist having a go. It was great to see that even the most worried children had a go and certainly climbed higher and higher the more attempts they had. The children all had the chance to climb a wall against the clock and we will be awarded points for our quickest times. These will be added to the points we score in the Sportathon event, coming up in June. Well done to Folawami who climbed it 41.51 and Lexie who climbed it in 42.32.
Mr Spalding was very pleased to receive comment on how well behaved the children were on the way home. A lady on the bus told him that their behaviour was “a credit to the school.” Well done Year 3!
