Pupil Benefits
All children attending primary school will automatically receive a free school meal. However, for every child individually registered with the Royal Borough of Greenwich who are entitled to a free school meal, the school will receive money to spend on extra resources. It is called the Pupil Premium and is worth over £1000 per child. Even if you do not want your child to have a school meal, if you are on a qualifying benefit you should still complete an application to make sure you don't miss out on other benefits such as free holiday clubs and support payments during the holidays. The school will get extra money from the government, and that money could go towards things like extra tuition, learning assistants and after-school activities. You may also be entitled to further assistance, which may include school clothing grants, school journey grants or help if you are NRPF.
