This week in English we have been exploring our new whole school text for World Book Week/ Day called ‘How to be a Lion’ by Ed Vere. The text explores different themes such as friendship, kindness, uniqueness and standing up for yourself. Next week, year 6 will be writing and performing poetry, based on the text. In one of our lessons, we had a closer look at creative expressions when performing a poem. Children worked in pairs to practice before performing the poem for the class.
