    Children in Reception this week have been looking at features of 2d shapes. They have also been trying to make 2D shape patterns too. They were so clever learning the different shape names. Reception have also been looking forward to the sports day in Greenwich Park too.

    This week in Reception we have been making new values display outside our classroom. The children have been using tissue paper to decorate Jesus. I'm sure it will turn out fantastic.

    This week Reception have been playing outside. They found a long worm and named it Jansis. They also practiced their writing  too.  They wrote down the names of the seeds they planted last week as part of their growth topic

    This week in Reception we have started growing Sunflowers. They have spoken about the process of growing flowers. This is their time to put their plan into action. With a little care and attention, soon they will have fully grown sunflowers

    This week Reception have been exploring their new role play areas. They have a new farm shop to play with in the classroom and a flower shop outside. From the pictures we have taken, they look like they really enjoy being florists and farm shop workers.

    Reception have been getting the classroom ready for our next topic which is Growth.  They have been decorating the front cover of The Tiny Seed and turning it into a giant flower.  We hope that you have a happy Easter.
