Every day this week the whole school took part in CAFOD’s Big Lent Walk 2025.

Pupils walked, hopped, skipped and jumped laps of the junior and infant playground.

Our school traditionally supports CAFOD during the season of Lent going back many years.  This is the second year in a row that the walk has been the focus of our support for those people across our planet who are the victims of poverty and hunger, including those adversely affected by climate change.

Once again, pupils responded magnificently to the daily one-mile walk – a true act of SOLIDARITY with their understanding of Catholic Social Teaching.

The children will continue to walk and raise funds using their sponsor sheets throughout Lent, which they will bring to school on our return from the Easter holidays.
