To prepare for Shrove Tuesday tomorrow, cooking club made pancakes.  

They mixed eggs with flour and milk, and whisked to a smooth batter.  They then all took turns pouring the batter into the frying pan, watching it bubble and turn brown.  None of the children were brave enough to flip the pancakes, but Mrs Weston had a go and did a great job.  No pancakes ended up on the floor, or the ceiling!  Once the pancakes were done, each child chose their own combination of fillings, including sugar, lemon juice, jam, maple syrup and marshmallows!
