The children in Year 4 have now started reading their new text for this half-term - The One and Only Ivan. It’s a based on a true story about a gorilla who lived in a shopping mall in the USA. So far, the children have been very descriptive in detailing the domain in which he lives.

The class is looking forward to reading more over the next few weeks - and they’ve been told that there is a film of the book too. But don’t watch it until we’ve finished reading the book!
