Grandparent’s Day was on Sunday 6th October.  We sometimes forget how much support grandparents give our families, quietly helping out where necessary.  So, to honour these very important individuals, on Tuesday, we invited all grandparents (or people who are regarded as grandparents) into school to have lunch with their grandchildren.  They enjoyed beef Bolognese, veggie burrito or jacket potatoes, with a delicious carrot & banana cake for dessert. 

Feedback was very positive with grandparents saying that they “...felt very welcome...”, “...the school dinner was very good—better than when I was at school...”, “...I loved having lunch with my granddaughter and her little friends...”, “...what a lovely experience...”, “...the pupils are delightful...”  Thank you to Madge, our Kitchen Manager for cooking such a lovely meal.
