Fish Cakes a-plenty
Cooking club makes fish cakes this week
Today, cooking club made tuna fishcakes.
The children used their scissor skills to cut the spring onions and added it to the tuna. We spiced it up with mixed herbs and garlic and combined with the mashed potatoes.
The children were dab hands at making the patties after Mrs Chaggar showed them how. We put the patties in an egg, then in crushed up cornflakes, and Mrs Chaggar gently fried them in the frying pan.
Each child took 2 home with some salad and ate one before they went home. The rest was shared with the staff. Miss Long said that they were really tasty. It reminded her of the fishcakes her mum used to make when she was little.
