This week, we are continuing with persuasive writing! The children are stepping into the shoes of Duncan from "The Day the Crayons Quit," and crafting letters to convince those disgruntled crayons to come back. To really get into character, some children even gave us "Duncan" interviews – we grilled them with tough questions, demanding to know why the crayons should ever return! It was amazing to hear their thoughtful responses, with promises of better treatment and valid reasons why those crayons should give him another chance. It's all about learning to persuade, and they are doing a fantastic job!
