To promote the art section of physical education, Year 5 was invited to take part in a series of dance workshops at St Matthew Academy in Blackheath.  These workshops provided Year 5 with the opportunity to work with a specialist dance teacher, allowing them to experience art through physical education, whilst showcasing the importance of 'non-traditional’ PE lessons.

The chldren were excited and engaged fully with the tasks and directions given to them.  They were focused and gave and recieved feedback on each other really well.  They absolutely loved the section on birds, making fluttering, gliding and swooping movements.
