This evening, we hosted a free table tennis event with TJ Table Tennis.  

Johnathan, one of the Table Tennis England officials, visited us and all children 11 and under were invited to come and meet him and play table tennis.

Tables were set up and children had instructions on the basics of table tennis - proper placement of the arms and how to hold the bat correctly -  from Coach Steve.  Children also had a go at using the robot, and had a bouncing race in the playground.  Even the parents got involved in a game or two and took part in the race!  Lots of laughter and fun.

This event was a great way of introducing children to the sport, and based on the way some of the children played, we are sure we have some future Olympic table tennis players!
