Year 6 Peninsula walk & cable car ride
For National Walking Month (May) and as a treat for Year 6 after working so hard preparing for their SATS, the IFS Cloud Cable Car organised a walk around the Greenwich Peninsula, today, which included stops at art pieces by The Line, East London’s public art walk...and what wonderful weather we had!
We met our guide, Thahrima, at North Greenwich tube station. We walked around the rear of the O2 and along the river stopping at the different installations.
Year 6 loved the art and asked lots of questions. We finished off the tour with a round trip on the cable cars, taking us nearly 300ft in the air, with views of Greenwich, Canary Wharf and beyond. The children had a fantastic time.
