Cool Aeronautics 2023
Today, Year 5 went to Cool Aeronautics 2023 - The Royal Aeronautical Society President's Summit: Future of Flight. The children were so excited and were all at school for 7:45am, ready to leave by coach at 8am.
We had a welcome from Kerissa Khan, the President of the Royal Aeronautical Society, then we had talks from Spaceport Cornwall, who launched a satalite into space, Flight Crowd, who talked about how flying vehicles could shape the future and help losts of people and then Airspeeder who are the F1 of space!
After lunch we took part in some practical activities - we had to talk about and design cities for land, air and space, we had to design an aeroplane and then we made and launched a paper rocket. It was an interesting, inspirational and informative day. We had so much fun.
Year 5 represented St Joseph's beautifully.
